Valuations
Geoff provides two levels of valuation service:
Verbal valuation or quick email — $27.50 inc GST per item.
A straightforward opinion of value based on current market conditions, condition, and demand. Suitable for insurance renewals, family division, or simple curiosity.
Insurance quote on a printable PDF certificate — $93.50 inc GST for the first item, plus $33.00 inc GST for each additional item.
A formal document suitable for insurance underwriters, estate lawyers, and probate applications. Each certificate includes a full description, photographs, and replacement value.
Turnaround is normally 2-3 weeks depending on workload. Please email clear photographs and dimensions to start the process.

Geoff offers restoration as an option on any piece of furniture, clock, or decorative item purchased from the stockroom, as well as undertaking private jobs for customers who already own a piece that needs attention.
The workshop stocks wax, shellac, oil, wire wool, filling waxes, brushes, stains, pigments, handles, castors, and locks. Most restoration work is completed within 2-3 weeks.
Work ranges from minor repairs and French polishing to complete structural rebuilds. Geoff will assess each piece honestly and advise whether restoration is appropriate or whether the patina should be left undisturbed.
